| Warhammer 40'000 miniatures and other |
Warhammer 40000 Is a fantasy futuristic board game created by Games workshop. I don't play or paint these days, but I still think it is very nice, and I really would like to see someone make a movie out of it someday :) I painted all of these figures in the early 1990's. The round base plate most miniatures are standing on is 1" in diameter, which gives a feel for the size maybe? The details are very small to paint. I don't see myself as master painter but I like most of my result.
I quote the description of space marines from games workshop:
"Space Marines are the most powerful and dreaded of all the human warriors in Warhammer 40,000. They are not Human at all but superhuman, having been made superior, in all respects, to a normal man by a harsh regime of genetic modification, psycho-conditioning and rigourous training. Being few in number compared to the uncounted billions of Humanity, Space Marines are organised into small independent armies called Chapters. Each Chapter is responsible for its own recruitment, training, equipment, organisation and strategy. Their unswerving loyalty is to the Emperor of Mankind and no other."
